Frore Systems has unveiled an updated version of its AirJet Mini active cooling system at CES 2024. The new AirJet Mini Slim device has kept the performance of its predecessor (AirJet Mini), but is a little thinner, a little lighter and smarter. because now he can clean himself and feel his temperature. On the performance side, the AirJet Mini Slim generates 1750 Pascal back pressure and can dissipate up to 5.25 W of heat (at a temperature of 85 ° C and an ambient temperature of 25 ° C), which is in line with its predecessor. It also retains 27.5 x 41.5 mm as the original active solid state cooling system.
Overall, the AirJet Mini Fax Lists Slim features two key improvements over its predecessor: its thickness has been reduced to just 2.5mm, down from the previous 2.8mm; and it has become lighter, now weighing only 8 grams, down from 9 grams. Another significant upgrade of the AirJet Mini Slim is its intelligent self-cleaning system that reverses the air flow to remove any accumulated dust in the filters to ensure continuous operation of the cooler itself and the device being cooled. Frore says that this capability is backwards compatible with the original AirJet Mini, which likely indicates that it was enabled by firmware or firmware. Finally, the AirJet Mini Slim introduces a thermal sensor called Thermoception, which allows the cooler to independently sense its temperature and adjust its cooling efficiency when needed.
This independent function is useful for devices that cool things that do not have their own temperature sensors, such as processors, SSD controllers and memory chips. All improvements to the Frore AirJet Mini Slim serve two purposes: to expand the addressable markets for these active solid state cooling systems and to adapt them to customer needs. "Reducing chip thickness to 0.3 mm is a game changer for products that require excellent thermal management in increasingly thin devices," said Dr. Seshu Madhavapeddi, founder and CEO of Frore Systems. "The AirJet Mini Slim brings much-needed performance improvements to ultra-thin electronic devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones."
